Question?

SSR or POP? I know it seems a silly questions,we are going in the summer and the grand-daughters want the pool and activities and I love the bus service at POP. What would the guru's of dis suggest?

If you are bringing your granddaughters, like you say you are doing, then I would suggest POP because of the large icons and the fun atmosphere. We haven't stayed there but we have visited the resort and it looks really fun. We have stayed at SSR (we are DVC members and that is one of our home resorts) and we love it. It is very quiet and serene and you feel like you are away from everything even though you are in WDW. My girls are 10 and 8 and they loved this resort (they especially loved the pool) and cannot wait to return. Good luck with your decision .

IMHO there is no comparison between SSR and POP. SSR is going to give you a lot more space and more amenities than POP. There are tons of activities and great pools and playgrounds at SSR as well.

What kind of room would you be staying in at SSR if you chose to stay there?

There are three themed pools at SSR and I think all have slides or water play areas.

And while the kids are at the pool with another adult, you can head to the Spa and get a massage. You won't care about the pools or buses after that.

I'd go with SSR, no question. It's really nice and the transportation is wonderful.
