I just purchased my hotel stay and my annual passes for Florida residents. I was able to snag the portofino for $199 night b/c I am a Florida resident. Am I able to get any more discounts because I am a pass holder? Also, where do you all recommend staying at the resort. I want to be close to the boats. Is is quicker to just walk to the parks than wait for a boat? Thanks

Florida resident rate and AP rate are the same. We need to know which hotel you are staying at to direct you to the best rooms. Also what type of room did you book? standard, water view, etc.

At the Portofino I prefer to be in the West Wing. It is closest to the boat and walking path.

Thanks for the help. Looking forward to a nice long weekend. Hopefully the weather will hold up. How is the security for the vehicles at the Portofino and the parking garage. This is the first road trip for my new truck and a little worried someone may try to steal it. Orlando has a high vehicle theft rate for my auto.

Never had a problem at RPR. There normally is security people riding around on bicycles all hours of the day.

I would try to park as closely as possible to the elevators in the parking garage if you are concerned. That may sway any potential thieves. I don't think we've ever had someone report a stolen vehicle here.

I think I will do that or just valet it and tell them to keep it close to the entrance. I already had someone try to steal the wheels after just owning it a week.
