Question

Tell me about it:

:lmao: Was that her payback to you for covering her face?

You can:
Have more than one FP at the same time

You CANNOT:
Actually be two places at the same time!:)

Yes you can--choose to walk around the park, or go on more rides instead of getting a spot for the parade.

No you can't--walk up to the parade route at the last minute and expect people to make room for you, just because you have kids. Many people will be nice and try to squeeze your child in IF there is room and IF you ask nicely. But don't expect them to!

Yes, you can: Enter/leave/re-enter Epcot at the "back gate" (International Gateway).

Yes, you can: Enter/leave/re-enter AK through the "back gate" (behind the gift shop at Rainforest Cafe).

No, you cannot: Use the package delivery to your resort for perishible items like those huge crisped rice Mickey heads!

Yes you can - walk thru the rose garden path at EPCOT

No You can't - (or you shouldn't - pick the roses and other flowers)

Yes You Can...Stay at the Shades of Green and walk across the street and use the monorail at the Poly, have packages sent to your room from the parks, take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and take advantage of Disney transportation.
No You Can't stay at The Shades of Green and use Disney's Magical Express. Bummer.

Nor the Disney Dining Plan :-(

The people working the cash registers/kiosks at the counter service place are supposed to look at your card and only let you order meals for the number of adults or children listed on the front of the card. So, some places will let you and some won't. At least, that's been our experience.
The only thing I ran into regarding child and adult CS meals was that I could not use a child card to pay for the meals on the DDP.

I will say you can get a kids meal with an adult credit. There are a few locations where I like the kids menu more then the adult. I tell the CM that I want to room charge. 80% of the time they have to get a manager, because they run it as a dining plan credit.

Normally I keep my mouth shut during arguments, but I think this is a time for me to open my mouth. This poster is new and I think she's just trying to figure out what to do. It doesn't sound like she's trying to "steal" from Disney or be "dishonest." Sheesh. Give her a break.

Anyhoo, parkers218, welcome the Dis and enjoy your trip!!!:goodvibes

I don't usually weigh in either. but i will say that my experience when DS was 9 was that by Day 5 with the pooled credits we couldn't remember what we'd used exactly between the child CS and the adult CS...I don't think we bucked the system, but we might have unknowingly. :)

YES YOU CAN: Be a newbie on the boards and ask anything you like! After all, the majority of us come here to learn, right? Additionally, very few of us came out of the womb being Disney experts!

NO YOU CAN'T: Expect everyone to know this, or be entirely pleasant in their postings. Ce la vie!

I hope a certain someone is having a wonderful time on his/her trip with Free Dining!

now....

YES YOU CAN: watch the fireworks and Electric Water Pageant from the Poly Beach even if you're not staying there

NO YOU CAN'T: use the Poly pool unless you're a DVC owner or a registered guest at the Poly

Yes you can - use your Fastpasses after the return time

Yes you can - be refused entry if you are late, but very rarely - unless your DIS name is Sandy321, because she is on "The List". :)

Yes you can - pool hop as a DVC member, subject to availability

No you can't - pool hop at Stomalong Bay (BC/YC) or Uzima (AKL), regardless if you are a DVC member or not.

Yes you can - post a Yes you can/No you can't thread...

No you can't - expect that it won't devolve into a arguments over rights, rules, stealing and or who is being rude and eventually be closed. :)

Yes, you can ask for cups of ice / ice water @ most CS places.

Yes, you or others in your party may require a break away from the parks for a few others to unwind even if it sitting in the resort room due to stress or over-stimulation as an example.

Yes it is a doing a good deed to help another group by snapping their group shot for them when they ask you nicely. I helped a nice group from Mauritius @ Pop's Epcot bus stop then the younger lady of the group took our group shot after I snapped their pic when I asked nicely.

No, you can't yell at and/or berate others in your party if they can't keep with your fast walking or need a rest break in the Florida heat & humidity (rolls eyes at my mother)

No you cant blame the fact that one member of your party being pooh sized & have foot problems (like i am :sad1: )as the reason they cant keep it with you (again rolls eyes at my mother)

No you can't try to force CM's to take invalid Fastpasses as my mother refused to listen to me on how often you can obtain them. She was only lucky that a CM was able to allow us on TT @ Epcot due to my mother's mixup & refusal to listen to me.

Yes, you can ask for cups of ice / ice water @ most CS places.

That kind of reminds me of one...

Yes, you can - ask for an extra bun with a meal, and you might be able to get one.

No, you can't - expect that if you get one, you can get 10 to feed the entire family.

YES YOU CAN purchase a refillable mug at your resort and drink from it until you burst.

NO YOU CAN'T refill that mug at CS restaurants at the parks or at other resorts, nor can you keep on bringing it back for the next 25 years for refills.

I think Robo said this was a "Can you thread" not a "May you thread"!

YES you Can you bring back your resort mug to use again and again for 25 years.

May you bring it back to use again and again. Well that is a different story.

Just saying there is a difference in actually being able to do something and should you do something.

This remains true on several of the threads posted here. For the record I do not bring my mug back. LOL By the way according to numerous CMs you are permitted to take your mug to other resorts to use!

So YES YOU CAN use your mugs at other resorts and not worry about doing something wrong.
NO YOU CAN NOT be my mama and tell me what I may or may not do!

If I upgrade my DD8 (who will be almost 9 on this next trip) to the adult DDP and park tickets during free dining, can she still order off the child's menu using an adult credit if she wants to? I'm sure some days she'll want a kid's meal and other days she'll want something different. TIA!

-Astrid

Yes you may: Come to Walt Disney World.
You may not: Be rude to castmembers or other guests!

Yes you may: take your food to a fireworks spot
You may not: Leave your trash behind.

I thought the idea of this thread was to post helpful information, not to pass along ideas that actually go against Disney's posted rules. Why try and be cute and post things that go against what Disney says is ok?

Yes you can- plug your FW golf cart in at most of the parking areas (outpost, settlement).

No you can't-count on it, so keep the cart charged up at your site/cabin. bring an extension cord for this purpose.

Yes she can. If it's at a TS meal then she may even get a larger portion of the kids meal.
