If I only booked the room only rate ( gettin my tickets seperately) can I purchase the dining plan at check in @ CSR ???

No. The dining plan is a package, and you must include at least a 1-day base ticket for everyone in the room (unless you have an Annual Pass). The dining plan must be added to your package at least 72 hours before arrival.

You would need to make a new package reservation that includes at least 1 day pass and the dining plan and cancel your current reservation. If you did the 1 day pass, you could upgrade to the total amount of days you want after you arrive. With a package you would need to pay your balance by 45 days, which would be now if you are talking about the trip in your signature. The only other ways to get the dining plan are for those staying at DVC resorts on points, (pay at check-in for dining plan no passes needed) or those with annual passes that book the annual pass package that would only include the room and DDP. If you went this route you would need to pay for the room and DDP by 45 days or the day of reservation if within 45 days of trip. You would not need the annual pass to make this reservation but would need it at check-in. (most tickets can be upgraded to Annual passes at the parks or DTD)

I already have a rezzie for CSR ..I am a little disappointed I thought I could just call Disney and add tickets with the plan before my arrival ....
Oh well guess no dining plan for us ....

Donna in NJ is correct - you had to have a package reservation to start with. If you have a room only reservation, you must cancel it and rebook your reservation as a package including at least a one-day base ticket for each person in your party. Dining plans can't be added to a room-only reservation.

If you are going to get the tickets from Disney anyway, and you don't mind paying for everything at least 45 days before the trip, and you really want the dining plan, switch to the package reservation, assuming they have availability for the resort you want on the dates you want.
