I don't think it does... it's kind of like a security deposit for Disney. That way if you have more people than expected, damage something, etc. etc. then they have the deposit. If none of that happens then you will recieve it back after your wedding and if you have a billed on consumption bar then they minus that before giving back your deposit or you could end up owing Disney.
 
no, it does not, my husband was quite aggrivated about that, but you get it back in the end.
 
for custom weddings your deposit is your retainer to hold sites. in the event theres changes in the 30 day period before your wedding it would go towards any additional cost changes. otherwise your deposit is refunded to you after your wedding. we received $900 back to my cc after our wedding we needed a speaker system last minute for the ceremony.
