Ok, I made my ADR's like a good girl, and I got almost everything I wanted. But......... Now I think my BIL and his family will be coming with us (and they aren't really sure yet). What do I do now? :confused3 I REALLY want them to come with us, so I'm not complaining about that. But, what do I do about the ADR's? I don't want to cancel them, but I'm sure that if they do come they will be doing the DDP also.

So, my question is this. If I keep all of my ADR's, and when we get to each restaurant, do you think they will let they other party in with us? How do you think that will work. I would hate for them to have to wait outside while we are stuffing our faces inside :rotfl: , so what should I do?

Thanks,

Don't count on them being accepted with you when you show up for your ADR. Call and see if you can change them.

You need to reschedule. You'd be taking a table from someone who has made their ADRs. You don't say how many are in your family or your BIL's. If you are now over 8, you'll be booking through group dining.

Good luck!

I agree with the others. Call now and see if you can add more people to the ressie. They are sometimes ok with dropping a person, but adding may leave all of you without a meal.

Alternatively, make 2 ressies, at the same or close to the same time. One for your family & one for BIL's family. (One ressie with your name & phone # & one ressie w/ BIL's name & phone #.) If they come, great you have ressies for all, when you check in at the podium you can ask about being seated together or near each other. No guarantee they'll be able to accomodate your request, but at least both parties will have seats.

If they can't come, just cancel the extra ressies. This way is probably safest, in terms of you being able to be assured of getting and being able to keep the ressies you want & not getting shut out if you have make any late changes because their plans changed at the last minute.

ITA, if you cancel your ADR's to make the large group ADR's.......you're guaranteed to be upset when they decide not to come.

Best thing to do is keep your ADR's and make similar (or totally different) ADR's for BIL's family. Seperation is not a bad thing anyways :rolleyes1
