I'm not a fan of Crocs. I think they are beyond ugly (no offense to anyone). But, if they are THAT comfortable over tennis shoes I might buy a pair for me, the husband and daughter. Anyone have any comments on shoes in the park? What do you recommend to wear comfort wise?

I always have gone with a pair of Nikes or Avias specifically for walking (they make athletic shoes for walking, running, just fashion, etc.) and more importantly, I make sure the shoes are well broken-in. I switched off between those shoes and a pair of Birkenstock-like slides last Oct.
I tried on a pair of Crocs after reading so many glowing reviews, but I didn't like them at all. Maybe if you have super wide feet or some foot problems, but I found them just way too clunky (like walking in clown shoes) and I just didn't think they felt comfortable.

I don't like Crocs either. I am taking several pairs of shoes to rotate and all are shoes that I've used on long NASCAR race weekends where you are pretty much walking almost as much as you do at Disney.

I'll be taking my walking sneakers (usually Asics or Nike). A pair of Skechers Bikers (these are slightly nicer ballerina like sneakers). A pair of Merrel clogs (almost all Merrel shoes are built for comfort). And finally, a pair of Naturalizer flats that are similar to the Skechers Bikers but a little different style (plus these came in a nice neutral natural color that the Skechers did not come in).

Forgot to mention....if I was going when it was hotter (we are going next week, beginning of February), I would take my Bite flip flops (Bite is the brand). I LOVE these. You can even insert your own orthotics in the sole if you like.

It really does not matter what kind of shoes that you wear as long as they are comfortable! You must also bring Moleskin with you. It is a great way to avoid blisters. It can be found at Target, Wal*Mart, or any drugstore. When you feel a "hot spot" coming on, you stop, cut some moleskin off to cover the area, PRESTO! you have stopped a blister! It is alwsome stuff!

I wore Asics Gels sneakers the last time I went to DW. I think the real secret is to have moisture wicking socks like CoolMax. Had absolutely no problems.

I'm not a fan of the look of crocs, but I did get a pair of the Croc flip flops. Those are really comfy! And they look like normal flipflops. Nothing odd about them, in my opinion.

I also bought a pair of croc Mary Janes for the cooler weather to wear with jeans. Wore those last time in WDW (2 weeks ago, cool January weather) and I loved them. They look a little less "croc-ky", especially with long pants.

I teach aerobics, and I have enough tennies/gym shoes/hi performance foot gear to choke a horse, and none of them come close to my crocs for all-day wear.
