Question regarding vacation planning cookies in room at DLH

I have seen several DIS members saying that they would be getting milk and cookies delivered to their rooms at DLH. My question is how big a serving are the milk and cookies as I think I remember seeing the price listed as $18 (can't get my search function to work at the moment). I have 3 kids, do I need 3 servings (ie. 3 x $18 )? Also how much are the first time buttons and balloons etc?

Thanks

The buttons are free! DLR throws buttons at people, they are at every character meal that I know of, you can get birthday buttons, 1st time buttons (sometimes CMs say they don't have those anymore, but then someone a month later will get one), honorary citizen buttons...if you're staying on a package and go to Mickey's ToonTown Morning Madness you'll get buttons...buttons buttons and more buttons, for no cost. :)

Balloons...if you order them I don't know how much they cost. But when we checked in to Paradise Pier in Sept, the CM asked us if we were celebrating anything. Yes we were, our anniversary, and she ran in back. Emerged with Anniversary buttons (more buttons!) and a big thing of pink and red balloons for me and DH, and two different colored balloons for DS. No charge, but great fun!

I'm sorry I can't answer all your questions but I do know the 1st time buttons are free. I had milk and the Mickey rice krispy treats and that was big enough for two people to share. The milk was at least 12 oz.

We had two big cookies and a carafe of milk. Let them know you have 3 kids and want 3 cookies and it'll cost a few $$ more than $18 to add another cookie and more milk. The buttons and autographed photos are free. Latex balloons are free if ordered through vacation planning, otherwise I think it is $18 through room service.

Does anyone know if you can order "plain" Mickey cookies? DD doesn't like cranberries or nuts! :guilty:

I totally forgot to do this for DD in August!:headache:

It seems expensive, but I am sure that the treat for the kids is worth it!:goodvibes

We did it last year and it was $25 for two Mickey shaped cookies and two carafes of milk. There was also an embossed card that I believe you can personalize but we were not given that option when I ordered (read somewhere you can make it personal, worth checking into). It was cute for our first trip but when I saw the cookies for $2 a piece in the bakery I decided I can do something similar, being sneaky, in the future. DS did not eat half the cookies and they went to waste.

Thank you!!! We are going to do a stay @ PP for my nephew's birthday and I want to get him the birthday bucket!

I am a travel agent and always do the work to get extras on arrival. When you make your reservations have your travel agent request "the magic" for you. This usually gets you laytex balloons tied to the bed post, welcome signed picture (request your favorite minus tink) and buttons. If you are celebrating anything have them document it in your record as well. (Last year when we arrived at the Grand our shuttle pulled up and a disney rep met our car with the balloons and a button for my daughter saying we heard it was someones birthday! Boy did we feel like royalty!) Then if you have a top notch agent they will call DL the day before you arrive and confirm all is taken care of. :thumbsup2 My clients have always appreciated the extra and I enjoy making it happen. As for the cookies they can do chocolate chip but my kids love the rice krispies! (Oh and don't forget the chocolate covered strawberries you can order)
