Question regarding trash and towel day

I remember when I stayed as a guest of a member before I was a member that trash and towel day can be changed to another day rather than the 4th day if you want -- I made a reservation for Sept. '03 and when I received the confirmation in the mail it stated trash and towel day on Sept. 16 but I check out Sept. 17 and would prefer it on the 15th -- can I change it?? I called MS and was told "No" but can I do it at check in?? When I stayed as a guest I didn't even know we were not getting maid service and called on our 3rd day and asked when is the maid coming and they told me the situation and then said if you want it today instead we can send someone now so it's obviously not impossible but just wondered if anyone has encountered this before and what happened. Thanks!!

We've always switched housekeeping days at OKW with no problems. I call housekeeping after we check in and have never been told we can't switch from the scheduled days.
