Question regarding the Times Square area...

My daughter and I will be spending the day in New York City with some friends for shopping and lunch to celebrate her birthday. We are taking the train into Penn Station from NJ, but as a surprise for my daughter, we'll be taking a limo home. The only problem is, I'm not sure of a good place to tell the limo to pick us up. I'm not sure what all we'll be doing during the day -- we don't have a set plans but we just want to hit some places in the Times Square area. I don't know the area well enough to pinpoint an exact location for the driver to meet us -- any sugggestions?

Outside of Sardi's restaurant...its on a side street in the theatre district...across from the Shubert Theatre. West 44th Street.

I might recommend outside of Pigalle (a French bistro) on 48th and 8th - it's a little calmer than attempting 7th or Broadway, especially given that you're from Jersey so you'll exit Manhattan on the West Side.
