Question regarding room upgrades

We are going to AKL in October. I have 2 savannah rooms reserved. How do you go about getting upgraded? Is it just the luck of the draw, or do you ask what's available at check in? I have been really curious about this for awhile and thought I would ask!

I would go with the outlook that you won't be getting any upgrades. It seems on these boards that they are very easy to get. It depends on the time of the year and other things.

You can smile sweetly and just ask if they have any other rooms with a better view and see what happens. Don't expect anything and you won't be dissapointed.

When I ask for an upgrade, I have my credit card in hand and ask "How much will it cost?" Sometimes the CM may offer you a nicer room for free; other times they will quote the difference and you can decide whether or not to pay it. I don't go expecting it because it's never guaranteed.
