Question regarding ice cream social

If we're going to the ice cream social at the garden grill, is it right in Epcot? I'm just wondering if we have to use 1 day of our pass. I know it seems like a silly question, but as you can see by all of my questions, I'm a complete rookie!!

Yes, admission to the Epcot is required, so it would use a day off your pass.

I have to say out of all of our PS's this one was my least favorite. The ice creams- come already "made" to your table, where I thought you got little dishes of stuff to make the sundae's- no choice on ice cream, everyones was vanilla....

I just wasnt impressed, and we wont do it again.

how was the character interaction?
what if 1 of us chooses not to eat? do they still charge a $5 entertainment fee? can they just order a soda?

For $7 an icecream plus LOADS of character interaction with Farmer Mickey and the adorable Chipmunks in overalls I thought it was a scream of a deal.

I believe there will be an entertainment fee, so yes to that one.

I had requested the Rehitchin Ceremony when I made my PS, so that made the social even more of a treat. Got Mr. FFerret completely by surprise! My little ones enjoyed their icecream quite a bit. Make sure you order kid sodas, they come in take home EPCOT souvies--those are my only Epcot souvies I have!

We went on Oct 2, 2003 (Thurs)--it wasn't crowded at all; very relaxing. We had to make a mad dash for the Land from the monorail though; that was a bit hectic
