Question regarding golfing at WDW

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how far in advance you should make your tee time. My father is traveling with us and plans on golfing while we're there. Any advice would be GREAT! TIA!

If your talking about mini-golf, what my family did was take a bus from magic kingdom to Swan and Dolphin, and then walked from there. It's just a Short walk.

For regular golfing, I know there's transportation available-the front desk calls a cab for you and you get reimbursed. I'm not sure how this all works since we've always had a rental car for the VERY many times that DH has golfed there (it's a golf resort, right?) How far ahead you should make a tee time depends on many factors-time of year, time of day, and which course. For November on Oak Trail, DH and DS made a tee time the day before. For late May, using the price slice special, DH makes his tee times about 60 days ahead. Osprey Ridge is more popular to book, Lake Buena Vista is usually less difficult.

Thanks, but I meant REAL golf. My dad is an avid golfer and wouldn't be able to survive a whole week without playing.

Thanks! We actually have rented a van since there are 7 of us, but I'm wondering in case the rest of us want use of the van while he is off golfing. I'll check into it!!

If you are staying at a Disney hotel, the golf course will give you a voucher to pay taxi fare. I think tee times can be made 90 days in advance if staying onsite. Here is a link with a lof of info..
