Question regarding Gatwick 1st class lounge

Hi, this is my first post, hope someone can help me. I have booked premium economy flights for October wiht Virgin Atlantic and have complimentary tickets for the lounge at Gatwick. Can someone please tell me is this the same lounge used by first class passengers or is there a separate lounge for premium economy passengers.

Also, on the Virgin website it states no children under 12 and dress code smart/casual. Are they very strict on the dress code and can you wear jeans in the lounge.

Hi and welcome! I assume it means the UC lounge. TBH I wasn't aware of the dress code - I usually wear jeans and a strappy top/cardigan for travelling and have never had a problem! Have fun...

Upper Class passengers don't have any dress code for the lounge, but then they are allowed to take under 12s in too. So the dress code policy MAY be slightly stricter for PE passengers on an invite than for UC passengers...

...probably depends on the state of the jeans - if they are nasty with big rips in, then you may have a problem, if they fairly smart then no problem.

Hi we booked the holiday as a flydrive with Virgin Holidays the lounge pass was included if you booked PE flights by a certain date. can you tell me if there is a different lounge for PE Passangers or is it the UC one.Many thanks

No, Virgin Atlantic only have one lounge at gatwick, the Clubhouse. Reports are that Virgin holidays bookers can get passes to this Clubhouse for around £35 each subject to availability.

It will be this lounge you have access to.

Hi thanks for the prompt reply.Can you tell me as we are PE passangers not UC will it be ok for my DH and DS to wear jeans in the lounge? also this might sound a silly question but can we leave the lounge[say to do some duty free shopping] and then return to the lounge after. Or do we have to stay in the lounge until we board the plane Many thanks

Like Alice said, as long as they're not tatty jeans, your DH and DS will be fine. My DH tends to wear dark jeans, a v-necked jumper over a t-shirt and smart-ish shoes...

You can definitely pop in and out of the Clubhouse...
