Question regarding EBCI and changing a flight

I just rebooked the "go" flights to avoid a 25 minute layover on the last flight of the day and am wondering if I have to repay for EBCI. The page telling me I have the new flight *offered* EBCI to me for a fee, so I'm wondering if I lost it when I changed the ticket. However, I don't want to just rebuy it only to discover I paid twice for the service. I'm sure someone here has the answer. TIA!

Try calling SWA's 800 number and ask that EBCI from your old flight be applied to your new reservation. YMMV but some nice CSR's will accommodate if asked politely. ;)

Did you change the reservation or cancel & rebook? If you did it as a change, the EBCI should follow.

Wow! Am I glad I made the change. The reason the system asked about buying EBCI was somehow I missed buying it originally on one leg of DH's ticket :scared1: I bought our roundtrip in 6 seperate segments to make any changes "easy" and was doing complex calculations to stretch the available RR points to cover as many tickets as possible and somehow brain-faded on that leg.

As I am VERY aware from reading here it would be verboten to have DS ad I board then save him a seat, I instantly picked up EBCI for DH. Apparently, the EBCI order changes to be fixed on the purchase date of the new itinerary, so we will all be together anyway.

Thanks for the help.
