hey. All.

I did a search, but nothing really came up, so I figured I’d ask.

Just ordered a Lilo dress from Hot Topic, with the intent to wear it for the Halloween party this Sept, and I found out it’s a lot more comfortable than I expected, so I was debating on whether or not to take it to Disney for our upcoming trip. My only issue is. is it more a costume than a dress, and will I be allowed to wear it at the parks?

This is the dress in question: https://www.hottopic.com/product/di...ALqeha8GoUFMW_ODIYXsNaeriW1abTEsaAhQ6EALw_wcB

I may just end up erring on the side of caution and holding off until Sept at the party, but I wanted to know either way!

totally ok to wear!

I would never even have known that was a Lilo dress unless you pointed it out... Could just be a Hawaiian print dress! I would be shocked if anyone said anything to you about it being inappropriate.

I think it’s darling - perfectly ok to wear anytime/anywhere!

I saw this same dress as I walked by Hot Topic today and thought to myself that would be a cool dress for Disney.

I had the exact same thought on that dress and ended up not buying it out of fear. It is super cute though and I think you'll be fine :)

No problem at all. Very cute dress.

That’s definitely not a costume. It’s just a dress. The costume rules are to prevent people from wearing bulky clothes that can hide items that aren’t allowed into the parks, as well as to prevent people from pretending to be the character and fooling guests into thinking they are a CM. You wouldn’t be doing either one in this dress, nobody will say a word.

As long as you don't wear your hair and makeup to look like Lilo, you should be good to go. This looks more like Disney Bounding to me.

All the dress on that page look like Disney Bounding. They are more suggestive of a character than a costume.

Ok, great! I may just take it with me for our trip in 3 weeks then. Just gotta figure out where it would go or when/if I would wear it.

My teen DD wore that dress last trip no problem at all. My girls had a few HotbTopic dresses. They got lots of cast compliments. Stitch loved meeting her. :thumbsup2

I would just wear that dress anywhere during the trip or time. I wear dresses to the parks just for comfort. I do tend to wear Jockey Shimmies under them thought so I do not flash anyone as I am not graceful getting in and out of attraction vehicles.
