Does anyone know if you purchase airline tickets from Contiental and later the fares go down you can get the difference back. and if you can get it back would it be in vouchers for a future trip?

Also is $222 a decent price from Cleveland to Orlando (round trip, non-stop). Have never flown before so I have no idea on prices or airlines.

TIA for all help!!:p

Hi momof2,

We live in the Cleveland area and I travel on Continental quite a bit, so I hope we can help:

* Continental will give travel vouchers if the price goes down, but you need to call them to get them to do it. Also, it needs to be in the same "fare class" for it to count.

* $222 is about the average non-stop fare on Continental from Cleveland to Orlando. You might get it cheaper on another airline if you don't mind making a stop. Northwest is offering a $183 round trip with a change of planes. However, it might be worth it to you to pay extra for the non-stop.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I asked this question recently too since our relatives in Cleveland asked us to book their flights for them, but since I don't live there I had no idea what a good rate was. The nonstop Continental flights were around $222 and didn't change in the 6 weeks I was checking. We saw Delta (with a connection each way) for $192, and then booked them onto a Northwest flight for $183 on Friday night when I got an e-mail from Orbitz that the rate had dropped. They wanted direct flights, but when I told them it was a $40 difference per ticket, they decided making the connection was worth it.

Thanks for the replys.
I've seen that I can get a little cheaper on other airlines, but we do need the non-stop flight and the card I use gets OnePass miles. The non-stop is the most important thing though, due to my son. I've been checking this fare daily and it hasn't gone done in a long time, only up $3 on the weekends. I think I will go ahead and purchase these and atleast I know I can get a voucher if the price does go down!

Again, thanks everyone!
