We tend to bring water and juice boxes into the parks for our toddlers when we tour Disney. Does US/IOA frown on this practice? Also do they have the security stations , like Disney, where your stuff is half looked through? I'm not talking about bringing in a meal or a cooler just a few snacks and waters for the little ones. Thanks for any responses.

I doubt that they'd mind....I'm sure many people do it. They have security checkpoints as you exit the parking garage area.

If your staying on property where do you go to get through the security lines? I hate how Disney does it right before the turnstiles into the parks. Its nice to hear US/IOA has a different approach.

there's security @ the park gates

OT, @ magic kingdom i had an open water bottle in hand (think couple sips taken out of it). Was asked by guard if it was water. explanation given they only permit 'sealed' water bottles, then waived through anyway.:rolleyes1

We stayed at the Hard Rock and walked over. At the end of the walkway there was a security person checking bags.

The PBH uses the same walkway, so that same guard will check them too. For the RPR, the security guard is also at the end of their walkway, between Margaritaville and the bridge to IOA.

I've seen security ask people leaving out the international gateway going back to the resorts to trash 1/2 full beers and mixed drinks. They discourage entering or exiting with open beverages. But we've never had an issue with sealed drinks (non alcoholic). Just ahven't been to US/IOA in quite a few years didn't know their policy and wanted to make sure. Thanks!

We have took water in and cola in bottles and nothing was ever said to us and imagine the same would go for juice boxes
so you should be fine :thumbsup2

We've always taken juice boxes, water and coke in and they have never said anything. We usually stay at Royal pacific and when we walk to the parks there a guy checking bags at Margarretaville. I have never had a problem at all. I just have to show everything I have.
