Hi all,

I am thinking of trying out the point renter thing before joining the DVC. :goodvibes However I'm unsure what exactly would be different vs staying in a Disney resort, such as the benefits. I understand there is limited housekeeping, but other than that I am wondering 2 main things:

1. Can I still go to Extra Magic Hours (I'm assuming so)

2. Do I still get the parking pass that lets me park all over the Disney property? (This one I've been unable to find an answer to anywhere...) :confused3

Thanks so much for your input!

As a resort guest, you will still be able to do Magic Hours and have a free parking at the parks.

As you said, one of the biggest difference is the limited housekeeping. The other piece is that you will likely not have the same cancellation polices as you would through Disney, and you won't have control over the reservation as it belongs to the "owner" (ie: you won't be able to call MS to change things or check on the reservation, only the owner will).

But, if you do your homework, and find someone who you feel is trustworthy and reliable, you can get a great deal on DVC villas.

Good luck.

Thanks, Sandi, that is good to know. I read about that whole reservation thing - one more question - what about dining ADRs?? Can I make those myself even though I don't have access to the reservation, or do I have to have the DVC member do it?

Yes, you can make your own ADRs, but you'll have to have the owner add the DDP if you want it.
