Well, I just heard back from our contact's personal assistant. She made dinner reservations for DH and I for 9:00 P.M. on Saturday night Sept 20. :scared1: I can't believe they even take reservations for that late. I am kind of bummed b/c I can't imagine eating a full dinner that late in the day. I guess I am getting old! I don't have the guts to call her back and ask whether there was any earlier time in the 3 day window I gave her. She would have to call Club 33 back and it just is not an option for me to ask that. I most cetainly don't want to appear ungrateful. Sigh.

I feel like I can't complain because this truly is a treat to get to go. I know very many people would be thrilled to go at any time of day. I guess I'm wondering what time the club closes? Also, I'm bummed that if we're going to be there that late we won't even get to view Fantasmic from the club's balcony.

Oh well I need to get over this and just take a nap on Saturday. I'm sure we won't be the first people in the world to sit down for dinner at 9:00. Please tell me it's going to be OK? Do they have lighter fare options? :confused3 Luckily I'm at least not a big foodie and so I can enjoy soaking up the atmosphere of the club at any time of night!

Less than a month out, and on a weekend, you are probably fortunate to get any reservation. It'll be fine! Just think, a large part of Europe never eats till at least 9 p.m. Families and everything. Those are mostly the ones who take midday breaks, hint hint! :) How about if you eat a late breakfast, then a light meal at 2 or 3...

I think it will be so worth it to you! You are going to have a fabulous time!:thumbsup2

don't know the answers to all of your questions (I've only been to Club 33 for breakfast) but Fantasmic isn't playing on your date anyway.

I would be absolutely thrilled!

You just got the hardest reservation in town, where you truly have to know the right people to get in, with less than a month to go. Congratulations! That's not an easy feat.

You were bummed that you would not be able to watch Fantasmic from the balcony. Fantasmic normally shows at 9:00pm so you would be in the perfect spot for it, but as pointed out above, since it will be down for refurbishment, it's not even on the schedule for that night so you don't need to concern yourself with that detail.

As for eating at 9pm.... I actually think that will be great! You can enjoy the evening. Plan a late lunch if you want. Watch the 6:30 Parade of Dreams, enjoy yourself for a while after going on rides or wandering through shops, etc..., and then stroll over to Club 33 where you will be the envy of all who see you enter and enjoy a wonderful dinner in time to enjoy a beautiful fireworks show from the balcony.

The Park is open until midnight, so I don't think you have any concerns about the Club closing. You can find the menus on-line. They have all sorts of things to choose from, and you don't have to finish it all if you don't want.

Lucky you.

Can I come?

Oh man, you are so lucky!!!! Congrats!! I agree with the others, just eat a late breakfast, a late lunch and enjoy your Club 33 meal!!! Wow!!! I'm so jealous! :) In a good way of course, your DW is going to be so surprised!!

Thank you SO much everyone. I have quickly come to my senses and am down off the ledge. I am reminded about why I wanted to go to Club 33 in the first place: not for the admission (AP holders), not for the food really. Mostly for the experience and the atmosphere. Besides the wine and dessert ;) I couldn't really care less about what I'm eating! The best thing about eating out is the experience of leisurely staring into my loved one's eyes without interruptions by our darlling children. And won't that be extra magical at Club 33, at my favorite place in the world - Disneyland. I actually like the fireworks a lot more than Fantasmic anyway. Plus the sights and sounds of Disneyland in the evening. It is my very favorite time of day at the parks.

So here's the schedule I'm envisioning for our romantic anniversary getaway:

- Sleep in
- Order room service for breakfast
= go get our Club 33 tickets and maybe run around and grab a few fast passes (double the amount due to the AP's.)
- Go sit by the GCH Pool and or our room for 4-5 hours. Order light lunch by pool.
- At dusk, wander into DL, do some rides, see the parade, people watch
- Club 33 - order whatever - eat it if I feel like it

SAVOR! and celebrate 12 years of marriage, 19 years together!

When I went to Club 33 our reservation was about that late. By the time we were done with dinner the park was actually closed and we were escorted out to the front gate. It was cool to see the park empty! Just remember they will not let you in early for your reservation so don't bother. Have a great time!!

Hey, we're going to be there on September 20. If you decide 9:00 pm is too late we would be more then happy to take the reservation off your hands!

You are so lucky!!!
