Are you able to purchase a bottle of wine or beer somewhere at Disney to take back to your room? Or is this something they only offer in their bars/restaurants.
Thanks!

Dh purchased beer right in the resort..they had it in the food court and in the store, im pretty sure they had wine also.

Most all of the resorts have beer & wine in their gift shops or food courts. Also, the Hess station in Downtown Disney has beer & wine if you are down that way. We drive, so we make a stop on our way in and stock the cooler.

Yes, they have it...but it is very pricey for a bottle of beer. Not sure how much the wine is, but an indvidiual bottle of beer was high. We rent a car so we stop on the way in from mthe airport with what we'll need for the week.

They run about $5-$6 per bottle.

We usually order some groceries from wegoshop.com so we have some stuff to munch on in the room, and we order beer and wine from the them as well. Much cheaper than buying it at the resort.

I recommend the Hess station if you have a means of getting to it. The prices are reasonable but the beer selection is pretty miserable (if you prefer craft beer).

We also use wegoshop.com for a delivery, including beer and wine.
We order beer, wine, water, coffee (Disney's is terrible), juice, soda, fruit, and some snacks. We believe that we saved more than the delivery charge over shopping at Disneys gift shops. 2 beers there almost equal a full six pack from the store.
Have a Great Trip.

If you are staying at BWV's, there is a Hess gas station at the resort entrance that you can walk to....they carry beer and wine, sodas, chips, etc.

What's the logisitics of getting the beer on the bus to take back to resort? LOL!

I'd rather have 1 craft beer than a case of Bud, Miller, Coors, etc.

Does wegoshop have any craft beer options?

so if you are staying at BC is it still fairly easy to get to that Hess Station?

What's craft beer? Do you mean draft beer? I don't drink beer, so I have no clue if there is a carft beer.:confused3

Yes, just walk around the boardwalk to the lobby of BWV..go straight thru to where the buses/valet parking are..keep on walking straight down the road, cross over, there is a road that takes you around to the gas station, you can't miss it!

On our last trip in November, we made several trips to the Hess station from DTD. We walked and it was very quick. We even made it back to the bus stop before the next bus left for our resort. carrying it on the bus wasn't an issue. We usually got a 12 pack and then a bottle of wine and it was no issue or problem. HTH:cool1: :drinking1

that's great, good to know! Thanks!

can anyone provide any info on the beer selections at the Hess Stations? Is it mainly Bud, Coors, etc.? Any Sam Adams, Fat Tire, etc?

Wikipedia definition...
"Craft Beer is an American term which is also common in Canada and New Zealand and generally refers to beer that is brewed using traditional methods, without adjuncts such as rice or corn, and with an eye to what's distinctive and flavorful rather than mass appeal."

One of the most well know craft brewers is Samuel Adams (not really a microbrew, but most people still call it a craft beer).

We usually go to ABC on Rte 535 right in front of Winn-Dixie. I don't buy anything that isn't dated anymore as the Rogue Dead Guy six pack I picked up last May was really skunked.
