Southwest doesn't have great rates for our dates in November. My question is should I book now at the times and dates I want and see if I can get a credit if they go down or wait a little while to see if they go down?

Thanks.

I wouldn't wait! I bought our tickets for 11/20 - 11/27 out of Manchester a few hours after they opened the dates. I got them for 307 per ticket. Within a few more hours the cheaper tickets were gone and within a few days the flights were totally sold out. My guess is that the prices you are finding are still lower than other airlines. I would buy them now if I were you. Good luck!

if you know are definately going on those dates and using SWA, you do not suffer any penalty if you find the prices have gone down later, you can change to the lower fare

usually, when you do that, they will give you a "refund" of some sort ( some here have gotten credit to their "credit card" )

but , if it is ticketless travel funds, it usually expires one year from the date of your "original" reservation being booked

you might also look at fares on different dates around your original travel dates to see if lower fares might be there ( not always viable if your dates are inflexible though )

hope things work out for you
