Question re: requesting tables at dinner & rotation schedule

Hello! We had such an amazing time on our last DCL cruise (our very first cruise) that we've booked another for this fall. Last time, we had a specific table # that we really liked...it was a teacup table at Enchanted Garden and a table right near the TV for Animator's Palate. Are we allowed to request that specific table again? Do the numbers even stay the same cruise to cruise? Also, i've heard of people requesting certain rotations...how and when is that done? We definitely had restaurants that we liked better than others and if I can "tweak" it to my liking, that would be great

While the table number are usually not be the same, the tables are basically always set up the same way in each dining room. You certainly may request "a tea cup table" or "a table near screens in Animator's". You can request a specific rotation. Be aware there are 3 already set up rotations. You can't build your own rotation.

Also, be aware, when making requests, it's best to only make one request, especially if multiple requests could affect each other. For example, requesting a specific server and a specific rotation. The server may not be working that rotation, and DCL (in their own inimitable way) won't which is more important and won't give you either request.

You can call DCL at any time with your requests. Unless you're concierge the request is just a request. Most requests are honored, some times they aren't.

The table numbers are not necessarily the same from cruise to cruise. I'm sure they will try to accommodate all of your requests, but there are only so many possibilities. So if you request a certain rotation, and a certain table number, including one of the tea cup tables, it may not be possible to meet all the requests. I would prioritize your requests, so that when you share them with concierge they'll accommodate the most important ones first.

Call shoreside concierge and you can request the rotation you want. I've never requested a table but maybe they can help you. I got everything I asked for when I talked to them.

Rather than call I was able to use the Live Chat feature on the website for requests. They sent me a secure link thru the chat that i clicked on which allowed them to identify our reservation, and they entered the request.

And @PrincessShmoo is right (for once in her life) - don't make multiple requests, unless you are crystal clear about how they should be prioritized. If you wan to ask for a specific table and a specific rotation, make sure you tell them something like "If I can't get both, then the table request should trump the rotation request" or something to that effect.

You will get a standard e-mail reply stating that your requests have been noted to your reservation, and while DCL will make every effort to accommodate those requests, neither is in any way guaranteed.

Because you are traveling concierge, I would give these requests to shoreside concierge when you contact them with your other requests.
