Question re: past stimulus package...

Hoping someone can help me on this one. Earlier in the year, we received the stimulus package based on my current family at the time - 2 adults, 2 kids. I just had a baby this past June. My DFIL thinks that we're entitled to an additional $300 because the baby was born this year. Is this right? I don't think so, and think it would only affect future packages.

Do you have a SS# for your newborn? Perhaps they don't have record of the birth yet and if it happened after the bill passed, I don't think you'll qualify for it.

It was based off of returns for 2007. The baby wasn't around and deductible in 2007, so I think you're right.

Wasn't it based on your last year's tax returns? Since the baby wasn't on last year's tax returns (the taxes we filed this April), they wouldn't be included.
