Hi...I am a newbie, so please be gentle :earsgirl:

I am interested in booking the ASMo for 3 nts beginning Aug 28-31 with the MYW Dining deal.

However, we will be actually arriving in Orlando on Aug 18 and spending 3 days at the parks (staying at an off-site hotel) , then doing a cruise out of Port Canaveral, and then returning to Disney to stay at the ASMo beginning Aug 28th.

If I book the 3 nights with the MYW Dining but get a 10 day park admission ticket (no add-on features).....

a) can I get the park tickets on Aug 18, even though we are not checking into this hotel until AUg 28?

and

b) can we use the ticket to enter two different parks on one day (and count it as two park admission days) since we are not buying the hopper add-on?

Thank you all for your help! Love the boards!

a) No - your tickets would be part of a package and a package component cannot begin until you have checked in for your resort stay.

b) No - to enter two theme parks on the same day, you must have the park hopping option on your ticket, OR, you must purchase an additional 1 day MYW ticket for the 2nd park of the day. However, look at it this way, if you are buying the 10 day base ticket, it only costs $3.50/day to add the park hopping option.

No you can't use two days of your ticket if you want to park hop.

Welcome to the DIS. :)

As others have already said, the answer is no... But I really like the layout of your vacation, I love to take cruises while my wife would rather spend her time at Disney instead of another cruise. That would be a good way to get what we both want and breaking it up a little bit. I'll have to keep that in mind for when I actually can afford to be on vacation for two weeks in a row though.

Thanks for all of the quick responses.

When I called yesterday to make reservations, the agent told me that I could pick up the park tickets anytime I wanted before the trip at Guest Services. I was afraid that she was wrong, so thats why I posted here.

So I assume that means that the tickets are all tied into the card I receive when I check-in, and are not actually tickets that I could get beforehand? This obviously influences how many days pass I buy.

Thanks so much.

If you don't mind giving up the dining plan you can get the tickets whenever you want....alternatively, you can but the MYW tickets only for the days you want and then for the on site days you could get the dining plan and just buy a 1 day MYW ticket and use your other tickets for the remaining days in the park....that way you could have the dining plan and only have to buy 1 extra day of tickets.
