We are hoping to try to get to Megans Bay this June when we cruise...we went to Coki Beach the last time and throughly enjoyed it...just want to try something different. Does Megans Bay have snorkeling equipment to rent??

We haven't been there for quite some time but when we were there I don't remember seeing any snorkling equipment.

Magen's Bay is BEAUTIFUL, but the bottom is very sandy. There's nothing interesting to see if you were to snorkel... especially compared to Coki Beach.

We vacationed for our anniversary in St. Thomas
last November. Don't know how much time you'll
have off the ship, but if you can swing it take the ferry
across to St. John. I know there's a DCL-sponsored
side trip to Trunk Bay there, but -- again, if there's time --
try to do it on your own.

Take a cab to Red Hook ferry. From there, it's $6 roundtrip
across to St. John. Rent a jeep (Delbert Hill is closest to
the ferry, about $70 a day) and explore St. John's beautiful
beaches on your own. Trunk Bay beach has a stand where
you can rent snorkel gear; it also has a very cool
underwater snorkel "trail" you can follow. But don't miss
some of the other secluded, uncrowded St. John beaches,
including Hawksnest (our favorite).

Enjoy your trip!

Bruce
