I heard that you now have to compete the address of where you are staying for your first night - including the ZIP code. We are staying at Pop Century Resort for the first night but I do not know ZIP code. Do you really need to know the ZIP code of the hotel?

I looked it up on the website or allearsnet or something, better to be safe than having to return to the back of the immigration queue just for the sake of a few minutes searching!

I found this for you, Hope it helps, better safe than sorry.

I'm not sure if all that will actually fit in to the available space on the green form!

There are 21 chracter spaces on the form for the 'address' (number & street) and
21 character spaces for 'city and state'

How much of the address do you actually need to put on the green form?

Tim

Im sure when I filled it in, I only had to put the name of the hotel, the city and zip code. :goodvibes

I often put the hotel name and WDW, along with the zip code.

Claire ;)

Yes - I have always just put the name of hotel and Orlando - never been sent back to start again (so far....)

When I filled mine in a few weeks ago I just put All Star Movies Hotel, Disneyworld and it was fine.

Tim

That looks fine to me, that is pretty much how I filled out mine :goodvibes

Love the name :rotfl2:

Tim,
I often shorten things like WDW for Orlando (if staying onsite) or FL for Florida, as the Americans do for their mailing addresses.
Claire ;)

LOL Tim :teeth:

I do FLA for Florida :) and shorten stuff like Claire suggests!

I'd heard they needed the hotel/accomadation address at check in - can see it making queues even longer. I phoned my details throw to BMI last week, not too sure if other airlines are accepting the details this way.

this is interesting.
Virgin do NOT want your details at check in, however, we were talking to some people who had gone with Airtours and they were taking details, but they had one girl doing it at a desk, and the flight was delayed due to the time being taken to collate the information.
It seems its all down to the individual airline.

This is what the Virgin Atlantic website says on the subject:

Virgin Atlantic, like other airlines is working in close cooperation with the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to meet new US requirements relating to Advance Passenger Information.

These new requirements oblige all airlines to transmit additional information about passengers to the CBP prior to the departure of flights to the United States.

Specifically, there will be a requirement for all passengers who are not US residents to provide their country of residence and details of their full address (street name and number, city, zip code and state) for their first night’s accommodation in the US. Passengers travelling to the US continue to require a machine readable passport or valid visa.

Our primary aim is to make the process of collecting the required information as quick and easy as possible for all of our passengers, our contact centre agents and our travel industry partners. We are currently working on system enhancements that will enable the necessary data to be collected from passengers at the time they make their flight booking (whether this is directly with us via our contact centre or internet or through a travel agent). Passengers will also be able to provide this information via the 'Update Your Booking' facility within the 'Manage Your Flight' section of our website and when checking in online or using our kiosk facilities at London Heathrow. These systems will come into operation in the coming months and passengers will be provided with full information about the new procedures and requirements in advance of this.

In the meantime, we would ask that all passengers continue to be prepared to provide their valid travel documents and details of their full US destination address for US Immigration. There is no requirement for passengers to arrive at the airport any earlier than usual or to provide any information in advance of checking in for their flight.

This infomation is correct as of 3 October 2005.

I am aware what the web site says, however as I have just flown with them on Sunday I can confirm that this is not what they are doing at the airport.

The requirement for an address on the Green waiver forms has always been there.

when we did true fly drives years ago all we had to put down for address was fly drive. Now you have to have an address for first night

We have been for the last 8 years and we have always had to put down the address for the first nights accomodation, also we have never had to give this information to virgin on check in just had to fill it out on the green form.

I think it may just be down to the person who checks your form at immigration. Some people are more fussy than others but really it only takes a min or so to do it so id rather do it straight away than possibly have to redo it!
