Question re: flying with children

My children are 11, 8 and 6. Do they need ID when flying domestically? I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. Hoping the experts here can help.

I didn't need any ID for my DD (11) when we flew in December.

Always go to the source (TSA). The answer is right on their website:

Effective June 21, 2008, adult passengers (18 and over) are required to show a U.S. federal or state-issued photo ID in order to be allowed to go through the checkpoint and onto their flight.

It also should be on your airline's website.
