I'm usuually at WDW during the food and wine festival in October, and I've definitely noticed that during this time the weekends at EPCOT are much more crowded than the weekdays as the event draws locals. Is this true of the Flower and Garden show too? Is it best to plan to visit EPCOT on a weekday during this time to minimize crowds?

Thanks for any insight.

I find EPCOT to be so large and spread out that crowds don't seem to be much of a problem any time of year (of course, unless you are on line for MS or Soarin without a Fast Pass!) The flower and garden festival takes place all over the park so there are plenty of places for people to go and admire the beautiful displays. We were there twice during the festival and didn't find the crowds to be much of an obstacle either time. Bring your camera and have fun!!!:flower3:

I don't think it gets quite as busy on the weekends during the Flower & Garden show as it does during F&W. Depending on the times the other parks close though may depend on how busy Epcot gets at night. Most of the F&G activities other than the concerts go on during the day. Certain F&G concerts may draw bigger crowds.

It's always good to visit any WDW park on the weekdays rather than the weekends as you'll find the crowds are lower then just because locals are more likely to be at the parks on the weekends.;)

You must not have been there during F&W then, as big as Epcot is it can feel real crowded during F&W especially on the weekend nights...

In my experience, it's not nearly as crowded during most weekends of F&G as as it is during F&W. Personally, as nice as F&G is, it just doesn't have the drawing power that a Food & Wine has. Everyone loves food, a lot of people couldn't really care much about gardening and flowers. So it's not going to be the same kind of draw, even though it's a great event anyway. So don't worry too much about the crowds.
