Question re early booking

Good morning! So we’re one cruise down, one scheduled for this summer. This release group is our first as silver. Not looking to book anything right now but I logged in yesterday just to poke around a little. We typically book two rooms and the system told me that I can only have one during the early release. If we book for summer 2026, and have placeholders, is the best way to just wait for the general public date?

You would need to put another Silver CC member as lead in the 2nd stateroom to book during early booking. Same with the placeholders -- as long as you have 2 Silver CC adults in your party to split into the 2 staterooms, you can book them on the early date.

Got it. So this was basically because I was looking online? Since I have to call in anyway to use the placeholder, it wouldn’t be a problem (husband is also silver).

You probably checked the box to "Add Another Stateroom?" I assume that is when you received the message. I'm not sure if the 2nd adult needs a DCL account in their name to book online and each room booked through each account. But yes, I do think calling would have worked because each CC adult is able to book 1 stateroom on the early booking dates.
