I am thinking of booking a 4 day cruise in June '05 for our 15th anniversary.

Two questions:

1. How much of a deposit do I need to put down per person, and does it vary much between who you book through?

2. If I put the deposit on a Disney Visa, do I have 6 months to pay off the deposits, too? I know you have 6 months to pay off the cruise balance.

Thanks!

I booked with my Visa for a 3 day in October and it was $200 dep per person and I have 6 months no interest and you have to also pay the balance off with you Visa in order for it to apply to the entire trip. You ask for code DCC and then you get $50 on board credit too..:wave2: :wave2:

Go for it!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

While you have six months to pay off the deposit keep in mind that you really can't use the card for anything else during that time without paying interest. Any payment you make goes towards the cruise first. For example lets say you put a deposit down for 2 and bought $20 in gas. You pay $20 towards your credit card. Now you have a balance of $380 that is interest fee and $20 balance racking up interest charges.

It is just nice to not have the $600 charge you interest for those 6months...:p

I used a debit card for my deposit. If I use a Disney Visa for the final payment, do I still the the free interest and onboard credit?
I am really into this onboard credit thing! More time at the Spa!

From what they told me the whole trip (DEP and Final Payment) must be made with you Disney Visa in order to get the no intereset and on board credit.... You could always call and ask?:teeth:

I have a disney visa also, but I read disturbing news about this no interest business (I have not checked it out b/c it doesn't really apply to me b/c I pay in full each month). What I heard is that interest will acrue on your cruise/Disney vacation UNLESS you do not have any other charges on your account. They have no way of determining what charges (Disney vacations) are interest free & what charges are not. So if there is anything else in the balance, interest applies. Sounds like a big flaw in their system that I hope has been fixed. Someone please correct me if I am wrong or my info is outdated.

I had a mixture of charges on my credit card and they did take out the cruise deposit and final charge from the amount being used to figure out the finance charge.

I just wish they gave you the 6 months on room only reservations and Annual Passes too. Cheapos. lol.

Yes, I believe the Deposit for the cruise is seperated out on our statements from whatever else is charged to the card. I will keep an eye on it!

:D ;)
