Question re: "codes"

I am new to the boards. I keep seeing threads about "codes". What exactly are they, where do you get them? I am also a Disney Visa holder...I haven't seen anything...can I call Bank One (Disney visa) and ask them?
Every little bit will help!!

We are planning our trip June 10-18 at CBR (I know a few abbreviations!) and are thrilled!

Welcome! Codes are sent out via email and postcard from Disney and there is no rhyme or reason on who gets them or when or where.....the waiting game ensues!

There are several different types of codes. Some are send via email or snail-mail postcard and they have a unique PIN that only the adressee can use.

Then there are codes that are targeted towards specific goups like Canadian guests, Florida residents, Disney VISA cardholders and AP holders. They usually cover a set time period and have an expiration date. One would need to provide proof at check in that they are eligible to use the code.

Finally, there are codes for the general public's use. They, too, cover finite time periods and have specific expirations dates. Currently there are no codes available to the general public for room-only or package discounts. Keep your eyes open!
