I am doing a package bar at m reception. Beer & house wine for 2 hors over dinner and then call brands for 5 hours. My question is I have a child (age 4) an infant (age 1) and a non drinking adult coming. What do I pay for these?

we paid for just the soft drinks package for the child at our wedding and even the non drinkers we had to pay for the bar.

she is right you have to pay for all adults the same. I know you say they do not drink but Disney doesn't know that for sure you know...say that person does end up drinking *not that your person would* then they are getting all the alcohol they want and you didnt pay for them. They have to cover their butts some how ya know :)

Did anyone do BOC rather than a package? We were thinking of doing this instead hoping it would be cheaper than paying for people who would probably not drink anyway. Any thoughts?:)

We did BOC & got money back. They asked us how many people we would consider "drinkers" & non drinkers. They charge you 6 drinks per person, but for the non drinkers they only charge 6 soft drinks. I really think we came ahead with the BOC. I don't think that everyone had anywhere near 6 drinks each between the cocktail hour & reception.

I think I will go with the BOC option. We don't have a lot of drinkers. 6 drinks per person seems like a lot. We also have a lot of kids. When you do BOC can you only offer soft drinks, juice(for the kids), water, beer and wine?

You can do BOC for any kind of alcohol, including premium cocktails, call brands, etc. It really does seem to be the cheaper option from everything I've read.

You can have BOc with the beer & Wine offerings. For beers they offer Budlight, Michelob Ultra, O'douls, Corona, & Heineken. Wines are a Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, & a white Zinfandel. The soda & juice with it is OJ cranberry juice, pineapple, coke diet & sprite. For water its Dasani & perrier.

While it does seem like a lot, we also got a lot back. Almost enough to cover the dessert party we added on last minute. They figure 2 drinks during cocktail hour and 1 per hour of the reception.

We paid them like 3k for drinks in our budget but only drank 1700. We got everything else back.

The only thing with BOC is if you don't make 500 they charge you a 100 bartender fee, really no biggie but I just remembered talking with them about it

Yeah I just looked at how much it would have been to have the package & it was 1200 more than what we paid.

Thanks for the info! It sounds perfect for us! OK, one less thing to worry about!;)

So what is the ages that kids are free.. I will have 2 one year olds a 3 year old and two 2 year olds?? I've never heard of this ? We are doing a buffet if that matters at all?

Children under 3 eat free. Children 3-9 eat kids' meals or at the kids' price (usually about $20 each). Children older than 9 are charge the full adult rate for food but not for alcohol. As previously mentioned, Disney makes adjustments for those who don't drink or are too young to drink, in this case by charging you the price of the soda package instead of whatever liquor package you bought.

This is for receptions only. Children over 3 eat at the adult price at dessert parties.
