Question or three about ADR's

My day is approaching and I was curious of a few things....

1. Are you charged anything to make an ADR?

Dh has yet to make up his mind but we have narrowed to 5 places. I would rather just make the ADR's and then cancel the ones we won't need, but not if there is a charge.

2. How much time should/do you need to give to cancel?

Most of the ADR's we will make we will keep, the only iffy one is the character breakfast. DS4 sometimes freaks out so we won't know how he will do until we get there, but I am making those ADR's for day three or four. When we get there and on day one or two we decide the breakfast will be too much for him we want to make sure we cancel enough in advance.

3. We are meeting friends who live in Florida at DTD for lunch one day, it will be a huge group (about 25, if everyone can come and bring all the kids and DH's too) where would you suggest we go? Keeping in mind we will have 15 kids ages 5 months to 15 yrs.

1. Typically no charge for ADRs. There are a few restaurants where you must pay when you make the ADRs such as Cinderella's Royal Table and Hoop-de-doo review. They also have a cancellation policy, where you must cancel a certain number of days in advance or forfeit your payment.

2. There is no minimum cancellation policy for the others. I would just cancel as soon as you know so that someone else can get the ADR.

3. Boy this is a tough one. I don't know how many restaurants at DD take ADRS and I think it's not likely to get ADRs for a party this size so close to your trip. You can call Dining and ask what's available at DD that day. If you can't get anything, I'd suggest going to Rainforest Cafe as soon as they open and get on line.
