Question on WJ online check-in..

I have never done the online check-in before..

We have a connecting flight (Wpg-Vancouver-Las Vegas, no WDW this time!) and I am not sure..does it let me check in for both legs of the trip and choose seats on both flights?

If I do online check-in..where do I proceed to once at the airport? Still go to the regular counter so they can tag our baggage?

You can do online check in for both flights at the same time, but you cannot do it until 24 hours before your second (connecting) flight departs. I tried once to do it 24 hours before our first flight left - what a mess - I had to call Westjet to help me out.
