Question on Vacation Packages with GAD

Was trying to book a vacation package online through Disney. I want room and dining. I noticed though that when I removed the park tickets, it also removed the dining with no options. I want to use our GAD for park entry and then upgrade to multi-day ticket once we get into the park. So can I still book room at the resort and dining and not get the park tickets? How does that work? I want to book the resort and dining now cause I want to be able to just pay the deposit of $200 and make monthly payments on it.

You have to book a package (including tickets) in order to get dining - Unless you are an annual passholder or DVC member.

Like the PP said, you have to book a package with tickets to book the dining plan, with the above-mentioned exceptions. What you can do is book a package with one-day tickets, then upgrade your GAD tickets to the number of days you need. You won't spend any less, but you will end up with one-day tickets from the package that you can save for another trip. The GAD ticket has to be used by December 15, but the package tickets don't expire until you use them.

What you can't do is book a package, then apply the value of the GAD voucher to tickets you already have. You may upgrade the GAD ticket, but you can't combine the value of two tickets.

Alternatively, you may choose to redeem the GAD vouchers for FP cards or the figurine and pins, or you can donate them.
