On the places that require two credits, can you use one credit and pay a surcharge for the difference.

And if the answer is no, what would happen if on your last night, you have one credit left and you go to a two credit place.

And if the answer is yes, what is the surcharge?

Thanks!

Sorry, but I've seen no indications that you can pay 1TS plus a cash differential for signature meals.

I don't believe anyone has ever posted a report of having 1TS left when visiting a 2TS restaurant. I suspect most people who have gotten close to that circumstance actually had 2TS left, one for each of two people in the party. They'd then have used the 2TS for one person's meal, and paid cash for the other person's meal.

I haven't gone while on the dining plan yet. However, I thought, say you're going with one other person. What if you paid for one person's meal with the dining plan and the other OOP? :confused3 Essentially, you're using only two credits at a 2TS restaurant and paying a "surcharge." Wouldn't this work? And wouldn't this be similar to what the OOP is asking? I suppose, that way, you could conceivably order less food since there's so much food on the DDP, so I hear. And you could make your credits stretch while experiencing 2TS places. :thumbsup2

Or have I got this all wrong?

Indeed, that's what I was getting at in my message. ("I suspect most people who have gotten close to that circumstance actually had 2TS left, one for each of two people in the party. They'd then have used the 2TS for one person's meal, and paid cash for the other person's meal.") I'm sorry if it wasn't clear.

Sorry. My fault. Hadn't had my coffee yet. :teeth:

That's what I'm planning to do at Jiko this December. We're going with a big group of friends, so we're eating much later than I'm used to, and I just don't think I'm going to be in the mood for a huge meal. So I'm thinking we'll use the two TS for my husband. I'll just pay for an entree for myself OOP (or maybe just a big bowl of their great mac and cheese), and maybe have some of his appetizer and dessert.

Does anyone think we might encounter any difficulty with that?
