question on tour on the mexican revieria cruise

we are booked on the wonder in feb
I just wanted to see what kinds of tours they have
when I looked at Puerta Vallarta theres one that sounded good

Dolphine and sea lion observer

but reading the know before you go Im not so sure

it said this is not a stand alone excurison that it "should " be booked not that it has to be booked with

some of the other swims with dolphins
it also says its not a swim with dolphins or sea lions
not really sure what this all means
at one point it makes it sound like to need to book with the swims even though it says should be booked
or is this more of a one peson wants to do the swim while the other person in the couple just want to watch

any other typs would really help

It means if you have someone in your party that actually wants to swim with the dolphins/sea lions they must book the one that actually goes in the water.

Often there are others in the party that just want to be there (to take pictures of the others swimming with the dolphins, for example), they have to book the "observer" excursion.

You can't book just the observer excursion unless you have someone actually swimming with the dolphins.
