question on the pool refurbishment

Hello everyone! I have not been keeping up with news lately but we are considering a late April/early May trip to WDW. I have always wanted to stay in the cabins but would not want to stay there if the pool was closed. Is there any reliable information as to when the pool will be closed and re-opened?

Any info you get from a CM or anyone at any official Disney number should be considered "unofficial" but any info you get on these boards should be taken seriously and ingested as valuable information!

Just kidding! I know the pool rehab is supposed to start very soon and be finished I think around March but I wouldn't count on it. Things never go as planned at Disney or anywhere for that matter when it comes to construction. I guess any "official" info you got from Disney would be an approximate date since they really have not even started on it.

Hopefully it will be finished for your trip! If not, you can always use the WL pool!

Maybe TCD can help out with some better info than me?

I would think that they would try their best to have it opened up by April, that really is about the beginning of camping season and it would be hard pressed to be closed at that time.

I just read it will be closed from Jan 12 till Mar 20.


We'll see, most construction projects don't come in on time.

You can always use the pool that is in the cabin loops.

When we were there in December I asked and was told the pool would close January 12th for refurb and be closed 6 weeks. The CM mentioned a water pad play area for small children and a hot tub going in where the childrens pool is now. Also a themed slide would be installed. The slide would be open during the hours a lifeguard is on duty. The pool would still be open 24 hours.
