Question on Swan SPG upgrade

I have a question for the experts on the Swan's Starwood Preferred Guest upgrade to club level program. I am vacationing for 11 nights at the resort. I have a corporate Starwood Preferred Guest card that so far has not been used very much. With the card would I need 11,000 points to get the upgrade? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

There is a good chance you can receive CL as a comp upgrade. Have you e mailed a request through the website asking for a comp upgrade and indicating your spg corporate status? If not, do so. Then ask again - humbly of course - at check in.

This past summer at the Swan, I was hoping for a balcony room (I am spg Gold) and asked at check-in if it was possible for that comp upgrade ---- we were upgraded to a Jr. Suite with the balcony I was hoping for!... and offered CL privleges for $50 a night.

Last summer, I received CL as my comp upgrade at The Dolphin.
