Hi, we have a 50 vacation point that will expire by Jan 09. Unfortunately, we have no plan for any other vacation yet for the reminder of this year. Does anybody know if there is a way for us not to lose these points if we don't go on vacation this year?

thanks

Did you bank the points already? Then, if you don't take a vacation they're lost.

But if you didn't bank them, then call Member Services and ask them to be banked.

From what year are the points? If 2007 they could still be banked.

If they are curent use year points, 2008, you can bank them. If they have been banked prior, you will need to use them.
If they have been banked, try the rent/trade board to see if someone could use them in exchange for points next year.

Good luck

Thanks for your inputs... those points are from 2007 and they were banked last year. So my options are either to sell those points or use them before jan next year??? Any other options?

Rent them out or use them thats the only thing you can do with them.Since they have already been banked.

Check out the Conceirge Collection - perhaps there is something close to home that would work for a long weekend.

Or borrow enough to get a studio or 1 bedroom trade through Interval International. You could deposit the points now and have uyp to 2 years to select a trade.

For 50 pts, I'd rent them. You'd need 144-160 total to do a 1 BR deposit to II but if you're thinking about II anyway. Of course you could put in for a request while also offering the points for sale.
