DD4 has been watching Snow White lately every time we go somewhere in the car. And usually we need to start from the beginning so I get to hear the same parts over and over and over. Anyway, in the beginning of snow white, when the guy that tries to kill her tells her to run away, she runs thru the forest and thinks things are alive. The next morning when she wakes up all peaceful with the animals, she says something like "well you don't know what I've been thru. And all because I was afraid. I'm so ashamed at how I behaved". Heres my issue....why?? Why is she ashamed cuz she was scared? Now I know this is an old movie, but even 50 years ago, were people made to feel ashamed for being scared of something?
