question on renting an ECV at the parks

We will be travelling with my parents on our upcoming trip. My Mom has arthritis in her knees and feet and physically just can not handle all the walking in the parks. Last year we rented an ECV from Randy's Mobility for the week but they only went to the parks for 2 days so she felt it was spending too much for that short of a time. They will only be coming into the parks with us for 2 days again this year so we were planning on renting in the parks. I know that they are limited and we are going at a busy time but we are always there about 15 minutes or so before park opening so I'm hoping it won't be a problem to get one. If it is, we'll get a wheelchair. My question on the ECVs is that we plan to take a mid day break. One of the 2 days they will be with us we plan to park hop and we know she may not be able to get one in the evening. The other day we plan to be at the MK both morning and night. If we leave mid day for a break but know we will be back, will they hold the ECV for her till we return or do we have to take our chances that she may not get one when we return?

Thanks!!

never tried it myself, but have read others post that they will hold it for you if you're returning to the same park. might also be possible to just leave it parked by a restaurant or somewhere where it might sit awhile w/o being questioned and making sure to take the key....
