are people dressing up in pirate attire for this or mostly no??

There were a handful of couples and families who went all out. Most people didn't come with a costume but they put on the bandanas that Disney provides and participated in the festivities.

On the Dream in early January, it was mostly no, but some definitely yes.

On the Wonder 1/24 we were surprised that quite a large amount of people dressed up. It definitely seemed like Disney downplayed it though.

Well, since cruising resumed, DCL hasn't had a big a Pirate night presence. It's been scaled back, in lesser entertainment, and splitting the fireworks. It could play into their hands, though. If I recall correctly, DCL tried to eliminate Pirate night a few years back, but the negative response to that stopped it.

On Fantasy in January there was no declared Pirate Night as we had a SWDAS and that took over the ship that night. But we did see some people in piratey garb. It was a tad out of place next to Jedi and such, but good for them!

On the fantasy last week most people didn't. But disney also didn't really do it either. The characters were in pirate gear and I think they had the backdrop for photos, but no takeover or even bandanas. We did have star wars night though so I'm assuming that's why 🤷‍♀️.

We were just on the Magic and it was a pretty fair split. Some families with nothing or just the bandannas, some full out, some with just a themed shirt.
