My party and I have been racking up gift cards for our upcoming trip; however, if I were to pay online would it be possible? I understand there is only room for one gift card at a time, but after the payment is final, can I go and add another? Is this possible and has anyone done it before?
If any of this is confusing--sorry.

I would personally do this via the Disney Vacation Account. You can key them in one after another. Then you just apply the whole thing as one new debit card to your Disney.com trip at your 45-day mark. There are several benefits...

* 2% back. Since you're going in May, you have time to make the 120 days to get the 2% bonus. It's not much, but $20 on every $1000 can make you an easy $100 if you're funneling $5000 thru gift cards.

* If you have to cancel, and you apply your gift cards directly to Disney, they will credit back all those gift cards individually. So you need to keep them, and then reapply them when you rebook. By using the DVA, it's more of a holding account. Once you pay Disney, if you cancel, it'll just credit back to your DVA in one lump sum, waiting for you to reapply to your next trip.

* You can key them all in yourself instead of reading them on the phone to a Disney rep. I ran, I think 114 gift cards thru mine last trip. Keying them in is the way to go. It also creates a nice transaction log including all the GC numbers that you can cleanly view.

Last year I paid over $6,000 in 50 dollar gift cards for our vacation. You just place one payment for the gift card then carb another card and repeat the process. I really suggest holding on to the cards because if you have to get a refund for any reason you will need each individual gift card.

I paid with about $3000 in gift cards for the last trip. Bought them at Target with my Redcard and saved 5%. $50 each one at a time. Pain in the butt to do but worth it in the end.

I like the idea of the DVA though. I may go with that next time.

I had completely forgot about the DVA!

I've got a 5 figure ABD trip coming up soon that I have been paying on with gift cards ($50 GC at that...:badpc:). Look who is making a DVA account today... :cool1:

thanks!! :cheer2:
