question on hotel refund

We were staying 6 nights WL and 3 nights poly but changed it to 6 nights WL and 3 nights pofq. This will give us an extra $435 to spend on anything we want. The problem is we paid in full a couple of weeks ago so how will they refund the money. She said they will not put it back on our credit card but we will have a credit. Will they just put it on our room key or can we just get disney dollars at the WL when we check in for the amount we have left. thanks

You'll most likely have a credit on your account. You'll get your room key/card which will let you charge in the parks/DTD. You'll already have a credit of the $435 on 'your account' so to speak. When you check out of the first hotel that credit will be subtracted from the total amount that you have charged. What a great 'problem' to have! Although it'll go so fast you might not even notice. Or you'll spend more than you would have anyway, because you'll keep telling yourself, "well we've got that huge credit so why don't we...." ha ha! Doubt they will give you DD in refund but I'm sure you could 'purchase' some on property.
