I have the opportunity to stay at one of the Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare in March for 300.00 for 6 days. The only issue I'm running into is the car rental..when I factor that in, plus gas and parking at the park its really not that much of a savings...the cheapest car rental I can find is over 200.00 for the week. I saw Hilton has a shuttle to the parks, can anyone tell me about them? My dh is not coming on the trip, it will just me my 3 girls and I and I'm trying to make this as easy as I can on myself. Has anyone used the shuttles? Thoughts?

Its my brothers time share...we did a trade for a swingset and they gave me a discount on the timeshare. They just want to recoup there costs since they don't use it.

go to the transportation board and ask about car rental - they can probably get you a deal.

where were you planning on staying? $300 for 6 days plus $200 for car rental - plus $14 per day car rental - $570 has a tendency to beat disney prices.

here is a list of the disney resorts and their prices for 2012

Thanks..I'll go check that out. I was planning on staying at either Pop or AsMovies. Right now I'm priced out at 752.00 so a 200.00 savings. I'm going to be traveling alone with my 3 girls and just want the least hassle I can...since this will be the first time we have traveled without dh.

HGVC on I-Drive charges $9 per person round trip to Disney parks. They have 3 drop off times in the morning and 3 pick up times in the evening. Hope you and the kids have a great time. We love HGVC :)

Does the shuttle get you there for rope drop and one at closing? Have you used the shuttle before?

I've stayed at the I-Drive one in 2010 and it was awesome!

We drove to the parks, but a friend used the service. Not sure of the exact times, but you can call the hotel at 407-465-2600 and they should be able to answer all your questions.

By the way, there is a Publix (grocery store) and Walgreens across the street and also a great outlet mall right next to the hotel. If you would rather, the hotel will also fill the fridge for you (you tell them what you want) for a fee. They can give you all the details when you call.

Hope you have a great stay!

sorry but most family give their timeshares for free - when they are not using them - or only charge the maintence fees - which he is doing.
