Question on HHN opening nights

I've been to HHN 9 years since 1997 (I used to think it was 10, before I realized I couldn't count :rolleyes1), so I am familiar with early entries and staying and screaming and such. However, this will be my first time going opening night. Does anyone know if Stay and Scream is in effect opening night? I only ask since I figure Stay and Scream entry would be before the opening ceremonies, and I didn't know if they would want us peeking at a couple of the houses before the "official" opening.

Thanks!

Yes...S & S will be crowded opening night.

I've never been on opening night either. Will they do any special opening we may want to see that we would miss doing s&s?

No...nothing special...the only bad thing about going the first night is they are still working the kinks out. So be a little more patient with the TMs.

Quick question! On Youtube they have some videos were they're introducing the "main characters" of the year (not sure what to call them), such as Jack, the Storyteller, Freddy Krueger etc... Do they do this every evening during HHN?

In 2008 they had a private press conference, and I don't remember anything going on last year (I could be forgetting it though).
