What you you think will happen on May 5th? Do Dreams in advance, from the submitted, advance quote requests, book an allocation? Then e.mail or fax you, and is it held? for a day or so,

Or would they just find out the price, and you have to confirm and pay deposit and they they try to book?

Do they send you a e.mail form requesting credit card details at this stage, or would it be best ot give them credit card details in advance if you want ot ensure a quick booking and room allocation.?

Lastly a joke: Lady travel agent ' Men are like DCL staterooms! The best are always gone, and the rest are far to small! ( the rooms that is!)

I'm still holding out hope (albeit very little) that this is a rumor that has spun out of control and the Magic will sail alternate intineraries in the Caribbean.

The announcement could also be about a new ship order, as there has been some movement in financial markets recently, and ship orders recently for other lines.

Maybe the announcement will be both? or Neither?

When we have booked through Dreams in the past, they have sent us a quote, with allocated rooms, which is good for about a month. You have to pay the deposit within this time. you can pay Dreams securely via their website.

I do wonder whether the holding time might be less than a month for these cruises as they are bound to be popular but I'm pretty sure that Dreams will, as usual, reserve the rooms for you in advance of the deposit.

The booking process will be the same as always. If you submit a request, a courtesy hold will be placed on a stateroom and a quote provided. Disney usually allows the stateroom to be held for 4 - 7 days, and then a deposit ($250 per person for 7nt cruises) is required to continue holding the stateroom. If you want to book the cruise quoted, there are instructions on the quote to help you.

GenieDana- I agree wtih you. We're still clinging to some small shred of hope for 7 da y summer cruiises out of Fla. Hopefully they have come up with some plan to keep everyone happy..

the shreds of hope are probably shredded - there's too much detailed information out there coming from VERY reliable sources.

One person though thinks that DCL won't allow courtesy holds - I can't see how they could do that though.

I read in my private messages (found under "User CP" near the top of the screen), a message from Pete Werner about what DU thinks will happen in Summer 2005 and what its policy will be for reserving staterooms when the Magic is in California. Basically, the message said to book as early as possible, because DU will start filling reservations based on a first come, first served basis. If you are able to read this message, I think it will answer a lot of your questions.

Good Luck!

Gayl

P.S. Sorry guys! I just went to my private messages to re-read Webmaster Pete's message about Summer 2005 and it is gone!! I know I read it yesterday, so I am not sure what happened to it!

maybe a little too much information was prematurely posted??
