I live in Florida and currently have the Annual Seasonal Passes for my family. We are relatively new members of DVC (since last Oct). We bought on the resale, and I feel like I don't know about a lot of the DVC discounts available to us because of not buying direct through Disney. Also, though I've had my AP's for more then 10 years, I've never looked into the benefits/discounts, but now that I have two little ones, I'd like to start looking into the Hoop dee doo Revue, character meals, souvenirs, etc, etc.
So, all of you Bargain Hunters out there, please share all of your best, worst and most/least obvious secrets with us.
(I'm a Florida Resident)
Thank you!

You can get current information about all DVC discounts right on the Member's Only site.

In addition, you will get a list of all discounts at check in at the resort.

DVC members do get a 10% discount on UPH passes purchased at the resort, but no discount on other passes including AP's. Since DVC ownership does not qualify us as FL Residents, we are not otherwise eligible for those discounts- unless we are also live in FL!

There are discounts available for most tours, many recreational activities, some shows, Water Parks, PI and a number of restaurants.

Enjoy!

If you like to eat out at sit down dinners at WDW, get the Disney Dining Experience card. It use to cost $60/year, $55/year if you had the FL seasonal pass. But the price went up earlier this year, not sure to how much.

With the DDE card, you get 20% off all food AND alcoholic beverages at most sit down restaurants at WDW - there are a few places that do not participate in the program (Japan restaurant, Brewery restaurant at the BW) but most do.

This card is ONLY available to Florida residents. They will ask you for your Florida Driver's License # (or ID #) when you apply.

Since, you are a Florida resident, it should be no problem. For more information, go to the Florida resident section of the Disney website.

Also FL residents get some very good discounts on WDW rooms. Right now the only half way decent "room only" discount to be had is for FL residents w/Disney Visa card, all other discounts are the FTP. The discount is also very good 40%-50% off rack rates: $49.00 per night value resorts, $79.00 per night moderate resorts and $119.00 per night WL. The other deluxe resorts have discounts but not as good as these.

If you live in Florida the golf discount card is a good perk ( if you play) . you don't have to be staying on points ( or even on site) to use it.
